Host
In 2006, Chris Glass chose Airdrie as his home and has never looked back. Upon closing on his first home here, Chris immediately found ways to engage and embed himself into the community, and quickly became the Head Coach for George McDougall High School team - the Mustangs.
Chris' football community ranges far and wide, from pee-wee to the pros, as he has spent the last 22 years sharing his passion for football with whomever steps into gear. His passion for high level and safe playing runs deep, and in 2024 along with the Airdrie Field Turf Society, Chris and the team completed the major undertaking of bringing an NFL-level artificially turfed field to Ed Egger Athletic Park. Here, Chris runs the annual Airdrie Football Academy.
Chris' love for Airdrie spans beyond the boundaries of football, as he serves on multiple non-profit boards and committees including the Airdrie CultureFest Society, airdrieFEST, Airdrie Homecoming, and serves as Vice-Chair for the Airdrie Sports Council.
Professionally, Chris' aviation career led him to begin a media company with its flagship podcast Open Skies, where he shares the untold and almost forgotten stories of the industry.
Chris lives in SW Airdrie, with his wife Kim and their three children, Maliyah, and twins, Rhianna and Lincoln.
Producer
I’m a farm boy, raised south of Regina on a mixed grain and beef cattle farm. That taught me a lot about having a good work ethic and community.
I leaped into running a painting business as a journalism student at SAIT in 2009. I've learned so much from the people I've met, interviewed and collaborated with since incorporating iEvolve Media (formerly iEvolve Photo) in 2011.
I’ve done lots of editorial work with the Airdrie Echo, the City of Airdrie and airdrielife magazine, where I’ve met many community members and learned so much. I went full-time with the business in 2017 and haven’t looked back. A few subcontractors have helped me along the way, and I love a good collaborative project with peers in the brand filmmaking industry.
Joining up with Chris Glass for the Airdrie Inside podcast is a natural fit. We’ve known each other since 2014 when he was early into his years of volunteering as a football coach with the George McDougall Mustangs. I look forward to the stories we can highlight in this beautiful city we call home.
Editor
Hailing from London, England, Kim Glass is Airdrie Inside’s Editor. She’s the voice behind the voice, and Chris’ creative brainstorming counterpart. She takes big ideas and backs them with big, beautiful words, bringing heartfelt stories to life.
With a lifetime of writing for the fun of it, Kim has taken on written media ranging from nonprofits and events such as Airdrie CultureFest, Airdrie Field Turf Society, and Homecoming, to more persuasive copy, including municipal campaigns and grant writing.
Kim met Chris in 2016 and was immediately kidnapped up to Airdrie, where they were married short 2 years later, and have grown their family together.
